I just watched watched One Fast Move or I'm Gone. Really good, for those of you that dont know its a Documentary about the book the Big Sur by Jack Kerouac. I havent read the book in awhile but watching this made me want to pick it up again. Ben Gibbard and Jay Farrar also made an album to go along with the movie. Its not the entire sound track but some jams are in the movie. Its ok, nothing great...To be cool guy you also might want to read Henry Millers book Big Sur and the Oranges of Hieronymus Bosch. Def harder to find but well worth it. Bummed Ive never been to the Big Sur, someone get me a ticket and rent me a car.
"Frankly, I was horrified by life, at what a man had to do simply in order to eat, sleep, and keep himself clothed. So I stayed in bed and drank. When you drank the world was still out there, but for the moment it didn't have you by the throat." Bukowski
Hello dearest friends, its been too long. I work a lot and don't really have time to update this thing but I do often update the Seasons site, so lurk that nerds. Thats just a picture of me and my best friend and the place i love to hate Cape Vincent.
Chris Mulherns new video with be making its big screen debut this weekend in Philly so go check it out. Curtis will have a full part as will a bunch of other homies so support. Seasons Skate Shop is also going to be showing its 10 min video at all the premieres and the video will be included with the DVD so dont forget to BUY the video when it comes out. I think we are going to get a showing in March so be on the look out for that. So about 3 years ago we had Albanys last video B-Block Hood Rules Apply premiere about the same time of year, which was a shinning moment for Albany folks. And later the next am I got news that I had lost a close friend. You never know what will happen tomorrow make the good moments last. Ups and downs thats how it works I suppose. Try to remember the good and bad. Love you Tony...
After my car was broken into and my compact disc's had been taken, a dear friend was nice enough to send me a lot of old gems. Since i'm back to driving to work I have the "time" to listen to them. The Anniversary was one of the firsts dics to get some play. I dont care, I loved that band and loved to see them live, I remember the last time I saw them things were not good, and they were so young. And for better or worse the band split up shortly after that tour. I think 2003 sometime. So being the nerd I am I tried to see where they had gone. I saw they started some bands while the old lead started White Flight, so I go to Itunes and realize shit I know this from Static III, none skateboarders, thats a classic video done by Josh Stewart. I was stoked to see that White Flight was getting some air play no matter what. I will say there are some ok jams, its really kinda weird but hey it is what it is...Party.
